Why are emergency repairs important to take care of quickly?

If your roof is leaking and you repair it the same day you notice it then it is minor repair but if you wait instead of taking care of the initial problem quickly, then it can escalate to a major repair due to water damage. It is better to spend a little bit of money on minor repairs initially than spending a lot of money on a major repair.
